3. Feedback week

Dear reader,

last week my supervisor provided me with the first feedback on my proposal. yep…. there we go… Know it feels like that the real ‘thinking’ starts: What do I actually want to study on Curaçao? Before I had a rough idea on what I wanted to do and whose perspectives I wanted to study. But not enough; so actually the process start over again. Problem description, research objective, research questions, problem description, research objective, research questions, problem description, case study, research objective, research questions and so on….

Besides repeating this process over and over again I still have the feeling that I’m going forward into the total process of understanding what I would like to do. Im sure that the coming 6 months I have to do this process over and over again, but also my knowledge on the topic slowly increases. Slowly I get a feeling of the case, the coral reefs that are healthy and those that are unhealthy and why this is the reason (according to scientists and non-scientists). So I’m not stressed on what will happen during this thesis process, no, I’m actually enjoying it! Enjoying the idea of being part of a project that I created myself, with help of my supervisor of course.

So for now I’m still waiting for some new feedback and I started working on the description of the case study, which provided me with more insights on the topic. Still it is a little bit vague, but slowly it will form. Soon I will give more information on the actual case and on what my methods will look like.

For tonight; I’m going the café de tijd (with my roommate), where I was working for the last 4 years. 3 more weeks and than a new chapter of my life will start ;p
