PADI Divemaster

After graduation from university I went to a small island in Thailand named Koh Lanta. Here, I stayed for 6 weeks to do the PADI Divemaster course. During this course I learned more in-depth knowledge about the theory of SCUBA diving, how to guide people underwater, assist with courses and organise diving days. At the same time I practiced my own dive skills both in the ocean and the pool.

During this period I was part of the dive crew from Eco Dive-school Hiddendepths who taught me the ins and outs of managing a dive school. Besides this, I learned how to become a dive-leader and the course also gave me more knowledge of species, deeper insights in marine ecosystems and the way in which organisms live with their environment.

In other words, this course was extremely interesting (and fun!) and I will never forget the vibes of Koh Lanta. These vibes did not only exist of diving, but also the extreme relaxed atmosphere on the island. During the days I didn’t dived I explored the island on a rented scooter. Within one hour I was on the other side to explore some fisher villages, nice beaches and the jungle.
